We host movie nights because we love cinema. Having spent time in Los Angeles, we have come to especially admire films from long ago. Back when they didn’t have the luxury of fancy special effects nor computer graphics, or sometimes not even color! The thing–the most important thing–these movies had that kept the audience watching was a good, engaging story and fascinating characters.
On movie nights we have screened award-winning and highly-regarded films such as Casablanca and The Godfather, cult favorite films like Harold and Maude and The Graduate, musicals such as Singin’ in the Rain and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, and even some silent films like Charlie Chaplin’s heartwarming City Lights and the 100-year-old cult classic vampire movie Nosferatu.
