What is Downtime Cafe?
Not only is Downtime Cafe the first board game cafe in Bali, Downtime Cafe is a culinary board game cafe–a full-service restaurant where the quality of the food and drinks as well as the service is as good as–or even better than–our extensive library of board games.
Our experience from the vibrant food scene in Los Angeles shapes how we created the menu for Downtime Cafe. We take inspiration from California’s deep multicultural roots in order to bring you innovative dishes not found anywhere else in Bali. Where else but at Downtime Cafe can you find Cambodian spicy salad, New Orleans style étouffée, and San Francisco-style garlic noodles all under one roof?

Downtime Cafe takes pride in bringing you delicious comfort foods from around the world. Whenever you’re craving some chicken and waffles, a Thai green curry, or just a simple Indonesian nasi goreng, we’ve got you covered. We prepare our ingredients in-house, from our homemade mayonnaise to our own house-fermented smoked sriracha sauce.

At Downtime Cafe, you have access to the largest board game library in Bali with over 400 titles. Choose from many modern classics such as Catan or Ticket to Ride, casual games such as Dixit or Exploding Kittens, or more serious games such as Castles of Burgundy or Great Western Trail.
